Undesignated ministry support:
Ministry is expensive, even in a country where the cost of living is relatively low. The most valuable support we receive is given to the ministry at large. This enables us to use available funds for the most pressing needs, as well as enables me to support myself as I live and work here in Guatemala. Ninety-eight percent of all donations received are directed specifically to our work here.
Individual sponsorship fund:
We provide school scholarships or provide private tutors for a number of children who would not otherwise be able to receive an education due to poverty or their specific disability. We also are providing food packages on a monthly basis to families in desperate need of this help. Sponsorships range between $35-$50. Please contact me if you would like to sponsor someone on a monthly basis.
Medical fund:
It seems we receive requests on an almost daily basis for help paying for medical exams, tests and medications. This designated fund allows us to help those in the greatest need.
Wheelchair Battery fund:
Many of the children and adults we serve, especially those with degenerative disorders such as Muscular Dystrophy, require a power wheelchair to be able to move around independently. We receive donations of these chair from ministries with which we partner, but we must provide the batteries and maintain these chairs. Each chair requires two specialize batteries, which can cost up to $100 each. Donations to this designated fund help keep these folks rolling along.
